Description:
The holiday season can be a joyous time packed with excitement. However, preparing for time with family and friends often derails our routine leaving us overstimulated, burnt-out, and sluggish going into the new year.
In preparation for the busyness of the season, this yin yoga series will focus on opening soft tissue, breathwork, and opening of energetic pathways that will stimulate your parasympathetic nervous system triggering both body and mind to rest and digest.
What is Yin Yoga:
Yin yoga is a practice of long-held floor poses that target joints and connective tissue to encourage deep muscle relaxation and increase flexibility. Sequencing focuses on opening subtle energetic pathways throughout the body, meridians or chakras, to restore the flow of life force energy, chi or prana, and cultivate a sense of balance in body and mind. A typical class may only include 6-10 poses to allow the practitioner time and space to sit in stillness and explore their edges
