Aerial Yoga Teacher Training

Schedule:
Friday 6:30 PM-9:30 PM
Saturday and Sunday 11 AM-7 PM (Includes lunch break)
This teacher training is a 50-hour (32 contact hours, 18 non-contact hours in the form of pre-reading, classes and outside assignments) comprehensive experiential immersion designed to give the current teacher or serious student an in-depth guide through the techniques and practices of aerial yoga. Sessions will include: aerial yoga practice, practice teaching, lecture, sequencing, spotting techniques, discussion, and time for questions and answers.
Prerequisites:
1) Yoga teacher or Serious yoga student- you do not have to be certified in regular yoga but you should have a steady practice and understand of yoga and yoga principles.
2) Have taken a minimum of 15 Aerial Yoga classes prior to the training.

- Full experiential class sessions (aerial yoga flow & restorative)
- Learn the art of teaching aerial yoga as a yoga practice (including):
- Aerial Yoga Flow
- Aerial Restorative Yoga
- Knowledge of a variety of wraps/catches
- Standing Postures using the hammock
- Seated and lying (on the floor and floating) poses
- Inversions (including modifications)
- Safety and spotting techniques
- How to creatively sequence your aerial yoga classes
- Transitioning between poses
- Conditioning moves using the hammock
- Beginner-level “tricks”
- Practice Teaching
- Hands-on adjustments
- Discussion on special populations
- Basic understanding of rigging
