Daniela Hosier 200hr RYT, Personal Trainer

Class Schedule:
7:15 pm Mondays: Align and Flow Level 1
Upcoming Events:
TBA
Where were you born? The Bronx, NY
What are 3 words your would use to describe how you live each day? Patience, acceptance, kindness
What is your favorite thing to do outside of yoga? Anything outdoors- skiing, hiking, bike riding or gardening
What is you favorite yoga pose? Why? I love the bird of paradise pose because it combines two of my favorite things- binds and balance
What is your least favorite yoga pose? Why? Boat pose- ugh- no matter what I do it always seems to hurt my tailbone :(
How does being a yogi help you with being a mother and conversely how does being a mother help you as a yogi? I think learning the practice of pause and breath work has definitely helped with my patience in raising my girls- these tools I’ve learned help me to take a step back, I react less and love more. In my practice I take the same approach - I listen to my heart and soul more and am patient knowing that in time and with love for myself I can only grow.
Favorite quote: “when you know better, you do better” Maya Angelou
Favorite book: I love reading self help books or philosophy. One of my favorites is “you are a badass” by Jen Sincero
Bio:
Daniela began practicing yoga after battling with postpartum depression with her 2nd daughter in 2013. The experience left her feeling complete and the pleasant mood shift was immediately recognized. Focusing on her breath allowed her to relieve stress and increase mental clarity- she felt content. Poses started to get easy and life began making sense. A weird thing happened almost in tandem-her life also started to make sense. Instead of prescriptions that doctors recommended she continued her yoga journey and before long was free from the dark place she had been. The whole journey left her wanting to know more and she went on a year long transformation through Boundless Yoga Studio to complete her 200-hour teacher certification.
In an essay she wrote as a yoga teacher trainee she says “It is in the moments with my eyes closed tight that I remember how lost I was with my eyes wide open.” A passage that reminds us all that it is ok to be still and silent, because what might come in those moments may be exactly what you need.
An athlete at heart, Daniela also holds personal training and group fitness certifications and has been in the fitness industry for 8 years. Her favorite type of practice is a yoga flow sprinkled with bits of fitness, but she fills all her classes with love, energy and compassion. She believes her true purpose in life is to help others become the healthiest versions of themselves and to live fulfilled lives.
In her free time you can find Daniela enjoying time her family, walking her dogs, running or enjoying the outdoors.
