Description
This workshop-style offering focuses on developing a personal painting practice to express energy and emotion. Students will participate in group and individual exercises to inspire the creative process, exploring the collective fiery energy of the sun and the individual cooling energy of the moon.
No experience is necessary; this three-week practice is open to all levels and has a strong emphasis on nurturing the creative spirit. Each week begins with an introduction to a philosophical theme, with time for journaling and group discussion.
Painting modules are beginner-friendly and include breaks for movement and canvas planning. Students will be introduced to progressive layering techniques, allowing their vision to unfold on canvas each week.
By the end of the series, each student will take home two abstract landscape paintings, with their unique interpretation of the archetypes of Surya and Chanrada.
