Bio:
Kate DeAngelo (200RYT) Earned her Bachelors in English Journalism in 2004, and proceeded to go on to earn her Masters in Secondary Education in 2011. Working her way through graduate school at Borders books enabled her to constantly share her passion with other people. In October of 2011 she became a mother to Charlie. Her life shifted in a major way, while being a Paralegal allowed her to be flexible enough care for her son as he attended daycare and preschool, she was looking for something more. As his fifth birthday approached she decided to make the first step to return to the teaching world, she signed up for Yoga Teacher Training.
Unlike her M.Ed. Kate felt that her Yoga Teacher Training left her with more questions then answers. “It has just opened so many doors to so many ways of learning and moving that I didn’t even know existed, now I want to know more about all of it”. Looking to continue her education immediately she signed up for SUP (Stand Up Paddle Board) Yoga Teacher Training. It was the perfect opportunity to take her knowledge in to the out doors, as she enjoys hiking and camping with her family.
Kate loves to use music and breath to influence her movements, “When I taught poetry I brought music into the classroom to keep it relevant for my students, I want to do the same thing for my Yoga students”. Kate also enjoys the exploration process that Yoga can allow, “I love that I can move my body in ways I never thought possible, and it comes from experimenting with your own edge and seeing where you can go”.
