Who is this course for?
Description:
When we think of aerial yoga, we often picture a heavy workout that makes us sweat, and for a lot of people, this is exactly what aerial yoga is. Welcome to the softer side of Aerial Yoga! This training will explore adapting the hammock to the gentler styles of yoga for support in postures, stretch and release of the muscles and, calming of the nervous system. One of the main differences between regular aerial yoga and its restorative counterpart is the positioning of the yoga swing. Usually, your yoga hammock will hang at hip height (standard height) but when taking part in a restorative/ yin aerial yoga session, you will position the swing about a foot from the ground. When placed closer to the ground, you can use the swing and the floor for support, bringing an even greater restorative feel to the session.
