BIO:
Diane Stanton is a retired RN, and a Yoga Teacher – RYT 500hr. She started doing yoga when she was about 50 years old. Her first experiences with yoga were in a gym and focused more on the physical aspects of yoga. Fast forward a number of years (which included a time when yoga went by the wayside due to a busy work schedule), Diane retired from her nursing career, delved into yoga more fully, and became a yoga instructor (RYT 200hr) at the age of 67. She has been teaching yoga classes and workshops ever since.
More importantly, Diane has remained a student of Yoga – taking yoga classes, enrolling in continuing education courses, reading about Yoga, and increasing her knowledge about the many aspects of Yoga, so that she may share Yoga with anyone who is ready to learn. And you are never too old to learn! Diane is speaking from experience! In January, 2021, she became a RYT 500hr Yoga teacher, and is now on the
path to becoming a certified Yoga Therapist by 2024.
Beside teaching classes, workshops and Yoga teacher trainings, Diane enjoys working with clients one-on-one to help them refine their movement patterns so they can learn how to eliminate or reduce their pain, which is why she is studying to be a Yoga Therapist. When not doing, teaching or pondering Yoga, Diane enjoys Pilates, spending time with her husband and Bernese Mountain Dog, and eating chocolate.
