This morning I awoke in time to do a beautiful sunrise meditation by the water in the wild and lush surroundings of Bali greenery. The peaceful setting made it easy to drop into a sweetness in my heart and quietness in my mind. I was pretty deep into the meditation and could feel the first warmth of the rising sun touch gently upon my cheeks. My inner vibration felt high and the sound of humming began in my ears. The sound soon transitioned from an internal experience to a clear external and growing in volume buzz. I blinked my eyes open and allowed by head to drift towards the natural melody of the morning. I found that the tree I had chosen to sit under was covered in hundreds if not thousands of the largest bees I had ever seen and their collective buzzing could be felt deep in my core. I took a soft breath into the mystical magic of the sound created by the dance of their perfect bodies.
Closing my eyes again I drank in the thickness of the dewy air and settled in for another round of meditation. When I opened my eyes for the second time the sun was full and haze departed, the bees were nowhere to be seen and the only sound was that of the running water in front of me. Nature is my healer. Mother earth the goddess that I can surrender to. What can you hear if you are willing to listen? What can you feel if you are still? What can you see if you look without expectation? I hear, feel and see LOVE. You can practice your own Bee Meditation without the actual bees. Bhramari pranayama is very effectivepranayama for calming your mind.
